Keeping the history alive
There are so many activities in which we partake today yet we may have no idea of their history or heritage. It is possible that we cannot even imagine the blood, sweat and tears that were spent so we can safely be included. The early stages of diving were rife with disaster because the physics and physiology we understand today were only beginning to be understood, and development was through trial and error back then.
Our participation in and our preservation of Recreational Standard Dress Diving will help keep this history from becoming just another dusty document in the archives with no link to demonstratable skills and an understanding of where modern diving originated.
